The trailer for Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film, Dhurandhar, was released on November 18, successfully grabbing the nation’s interest and impressing fans. The trailer, which features intense imagery and dramatic dialogue, suggests the film will deliver a dark and aggressive story alongside remarkable performances.

The first installment of Dhurandhar is scheduled to open in theaters on December 5.

Plans for a Sequel Are Underway

The positive reception to the trailer has fueled anticipation, and plans for a sequel (Part 2) are already being considered. Director Aditya Dhar engaged in extended filming, resulting in a very long film. Because of this length, he is contemplating dividing the project into two sections with producers Jio Studios and B62 Studios.

Dhar intends for Dhurandhar Part 1 to conclude at a crucial point, effectively creating a cliffhanger that sets up the storyline for Part 2.

Tentative Sequel Release Dates

There has been significant curiosity regarding the sequel’s release date. According to sources cited by Bollywood Hungama, if the plan to divide the film goes forward, Part 2 might be released in the first half of the next year. While the sequel was initially associated with a March 2026 release, it is currently expected to arrive in the Summer of 2026.

May 29 has been tentatively chosen as a possible release date, as it is currently unclaimed, which would allow for a single release similar to the previous installment. However, the team has not yet verified this date. They are also considering a June release or other dates in May.

The team aims to finalize the release date for the sequel before the premiere of the first part. An official announcement regarding the sequel and its specific release date is expected to be made at the end of Dhurandhar Part 1.
