Socialite Orhan Orry Awatramani faces questioning regarding a major narcotics investigation.
Orhan Awatramani, widely known as Orry, is a prominent social media influencer and socialite. Recently, he has been summoned by Mumbai’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) for questioning concerning a significant drug case. This case is valued at Rs 252-crore.
The influencer was directed to report to the Ghatkopar unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell. Reports indicate he was scheduled to appear on Thursday at 10:00 am to be questioned about the infamous drug case.
This summons is part of a much wider investigation. The ongoing probe seeks to potentially connect financial and communication networks that may involve influencers, celebrities, and underworld figures. Orry’s name reportedly surfaced in the documents belonging to Taher Dola, the son of Salim Dola.
Orhan Awatramani has established himself as a Gen Z star, despite not pursuing a conventional career. He is known for his quirky and flamboyant, often described as over-the-top, personality. His fame is significantly boosted by his strong connections and friendships with many famous people in Bollywood. Orry is the son of Suraj K. Awatraman, a businessman involved in real estate, hospitality, and beverage manufacturing.
This is not the first time the internet personality has been involved in a substance-related scandal. Earlier this year, Orry and some of his friends were booked by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The action followed allegations that they consumed alcohol in a hotel near the Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra. A complaint was registered after a video of the incident was shared online, accusing them of violating laws that prohibit alcohol in that religious area.
